Mobil has conducted extensive energy savings analysis in components using SHC technology versus traditional mineral oil products. Mobil’s data suggests that customers can realize a 5% energy savings by using SHC products. According to Edison, almost 25% of a manufacturer’s power costs are associated with electric motors. After conducting VOC anaylsis using ASTM E1868-10, TGA method, Castrol has determined that Safecoat DW 90 will meet the 2010 South Coast Air Quality Management District standard for rust preventatives.
